Prasoon Mukherjee has over 25 years of experience in IT consulting and capital market operations, having worked as a domain specialist across portfolio accounting, securities services, fund analytics, securities lending & borrowing, custody operations, corporate actions, and other key areas of financial services. He currently leads the products vertical at State Street Bank, driving the development and execution of strategic initiatives in fund accounting, transfer agency, custody, and fund administration services.
Over his 26‑year career, Prasoon has successfully steered engagements through waves of disruption in the financial sector—from complex trading instruments and shorter settlement cycles to evolving regulatory frameworks and their integration with multi‑channel digital platforms. His international exposure spans North America, Europe, and APAC, where he has delivered and managed strategic projects for leading banks and financial institutions.
Before joining State Street, he held leadership roles in IT consulting with Société Générale, Sapient, Oracle, and Temenos, overseeing delivery, business development, client relationships, and P&L responsibilities.
Beyond his corporate role, Prasoon writes for journals and speaks at global conferences on finance, technology, economics, and social change, with a particular focus on how AI and blockchain are reshaping open banking. He also serves as visiting faculty at business schools, teaching economics, finance, and accounting. Prasoon is a Certified Independent Director accredited by the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
